There are two key stages in denture creation - Impression and then Jaw relationship. If either of these are not correct, it doesn't matter what your dentures look like, you will quite probably have problems or issues that will need sorting.
...are painful, uncomfortable, loose, ill fitting and have no suction
This sounds like an issue at the Impression stage, where an inaccurate mould of your mouth was taken. To resolve this we need to retake the impression and sometimes take a secondary impression, using a customised tray designed specifically for your mouth.

...my sideways jaw movement is difficult which leads to joints pain
Probably an inaccurate Jaw relationship issue - the second stage just important as the first. The vertical dimension is completely wrong with no correct rest position (meaning how much you open and close your mouth). Even sideways movements may give problems. If denture is relatively new a simple reline could sort the issue.
Dear reader, If you are a denture wearer, it is possible you have experienced some or all of these symptoms. Please come and see me, maybe I will be able to help you, or provide more satisfactory dentures. I have spent many years putting things right, whilst still maintaining appearance, speech and masticatory efficiency. Nothing ventured nothing gained, I can usually improve on what you have got. Every patient is similar, but in reality all are as different as two sets of finger prints.
These two stages are the basic principles of denture creation and haven't changed much in the last 120 years. It is easy to teach the theory but your manual skills technique is something that takes practice. In my experience those manual skills are very difficult to teach, in this day and age of press button technology and much has now been lost. Successful treatment is being able to listen to your patient carefully, leading to correct diagnosis. My consultant in my hospital career, reminded us constantly “listen carefully - 80% of the time, the patient in their own words, will give you the diagnosis, enabling you to plan his or her treatment”, there is no substitute for experience - this comes with years of practice.
